The mission of the Office of Science and Technology (OST) of the OAS is to develop, foster and support activities that contribute to the advancement of science and technology in the member States; to promote their economic, social, cultural, scientific and technological integral development.

The OST can therefore be considered a facilitating mechanism for devising and developing activities that make it possible to comply with the tasks associated with the recommendations and mandates that apply to its mission.
