The purpose of this meeting was to prepare recommendations on integrating a gender perspective in science and technology policies and programs in the Americas.  These recommendations will be subsequently presented for consideration to the First Meeting of Ministers and High Authorities in Science and Technology in the framework of CIDI-OAS, which will take place in Lima, Peru on November 11- 12, 2004.
