Preparatory Meetings for the
First Hemispheric Meeting of
Ministers and High Officials of Science and Technology in the Scope of CIDI. |

Within the scope of the First Hemispheric Meeting of
Ministers and High Officials of Science and Technology in the Scope of CIDI;
the Project
in Hemispheric Cooperation in the Development of Science and Technology
Policy approved by the Member States of the OAS in the
Special
Meeting of the COMCYT
held in Lima, Peru on May, 2003; has as main objective
to generate science and technology policies and strategies for the
Americas in the priority areas defined by the COMCYT.
The official COMCYT delegates will revise the proposals
obtained from the four workshops and elaborate a final document that will
consolidate the Hemispheric Policies in Science and Technology.
This document will be analyzed in the
fifth workshop and subsequently revised and discussed by the COMCYT
during its Fourth Ordinary Meeting
which then will remit the document to
the First Hemispheric Meeting of Ministers and High Officials of Science
and Technology in the Scope of CIDI that will take place in Lima, Peru
on November, 11-12, 2004 |
